Earth Breeze
Quick verdict: Earth Breeze took the least interesting product in the house and made the format the whole idea. Laundry detergent as paper-thin dissolvable sheets, shipped in a cardboard envelope, which means no jug, no plastic, no shipped water and no storage problem. It’s a B Corp, it’s about as cheap per load as detergent gets, and it is not the strongest wash you’ll ever run. Our rating: 3.8 out of 5.
Who they are
Jon Wedel founded Earth Breeze in Medford, Oregon in 2019 around a single format decision. It’s independent and privately held.
The company is a certified B Corp and runs a donation program supplying detergent to shelters and disaster relief, which is a more concrete giving model than a percentage pledge.
What they get right
The format solves several problems at once. No plastic jug, no shipped water, no heavy box to carry, and a supply that fits in a drawer. For apartments, dorms and anyone without a car, that last part matters more than it sounds.
